Momma is posting this one....

Man, oh man....Dollie and Arrt are in big time trouble! We spent most of the weekend, letting them out in the yard and keeping an eye on them.....felt comfortable that they would stay in the fence. One day at work (monday)....and poof! They are gone!

First call I got at work.....they were over at the elementary, 1/2 mile away!.....Mitchell goes to get them. Next time, he is home, and they slip out......he finds them again......thank goodness. They spend the rest of the day in their crates till I get home from work. Then I tie them out on some rope....in the back yard in the shade, of course.

Finally, let them off the rope and let them run free.....within 10 mintues....yelp....they are gone....again. We drove and walked for a long time.....Mitchell talked to everyone he came across......well....a really nice young black couple showed up with them! They had made it over a mile or so in the other direction.....over by Jack In The Box!

Back into the crates.......and prayers of thankfulness. And thankfulness for our two side neighbors....they like us and the pugs....they were out calling and looking for them too. One neighbor has loaned us one of those portable dog runs....until we get to our next check and can buy one.

Well, we walk the fence and find several spots where a pug can just slip under and take off.....so, they will not be running free for a long time.

To make it more interesting....we brought them out this morning (Tuesday) sitting with them before getting dressed for work.....and whoosh! They both pop under the fence and haul ass on down the street! Right there with us watching them! Now that is bold.....Mitchell is off after them.....he calls them "nicely" so they will simply come back home.....and back into the crates. I am going online to see how much a decent dog run will cost us. One that we can move around in the yard so as to not end up with a nasty dirty spot......I don't like tying pugs up....they don't have the nose to breath like a regular dog.....and we sure don't want to keep them in the crates all day long.....so we have to find a decent compromise till we can redo the fence line......

Anyway.....that was the great event for us.....

I am momma and "I" am posting this cause Arrt and Dollie are grounded! LOL
